We're just getting this thing started, so bear with us.
We are going to be rearranging the furniture, putting up new wallpaper, all of that stuff.
In the meantime, we are soliciting reports, and will continue to do so.
With the recent revelations about things like toothpaste, pet food, and other things, that we thought were being made in Iowa, only to discover that they were, without our awareness, coming out of Red China and sometimes seasoned with poisons, we found that no one seems to know the extent of it.
Example: I am told that much of the candy business we associate with the Hershey Company and Hershey, Pennsylvania is moving to Mexico. I was told last week that some of your rolled oats are being processed in China.
See what I mean? None of us know the extent of the matter - I doubt that anyone does know. Like the example of the ingredients in the vitamin pills coming from China. No one knew - the bottle still says 'made in USA' - but that doesn't mean all the ingredients are.
So we need submissions. I am not an expert. Few are. But all of us hear things, and sometimes the reports prove out. So our vision is that this will be an honest clearinghouse. We may, if it proves necessary, also refute false claims, and there will be some. We will probably, likely, make some mistakes. We undertake to fix any errors as soon as found.
So, please help.
